Lizz Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Complex Trauma Professional, and Certified Addictions Counselor. She has practiced in the field of mental and behavioral health for over 5 years. Lizz earned her Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health from Denver Seminary. Her professional experience is comprised of working with individuals and couples in community-based counseling settings, outpatient and addiction clinics, transitional homes and faith-based communities. Lizz excels in coming alongside individuals struggling with substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and LGBTQI+ issues. She has additional specialties working with school-aged children, parents and addressing behavioral concerns. Lizz’s continued education has provided further focus in spirituality, religion, and multiculturalism. Lizz uses a client-centered, non-judgmental and collaborative goal-oriented approach. Her primary therapeutic approach is eclectic but heavily built from the person-centered, strengths-based approach combined with a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy framework. Lizz’s goal as a therapist is to support clients in achieving personal, professional, and/or relational goals. She believes in individualized care, creating safety and comfort during therapeutic sessions while supporting whole health healing for each client.
