Discovering Peace Counseling

Find peace that feels real—in your body, your mind, and your life.

I’m Delseta Robinson, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Discovering Peace Counseling. I’m located in Ontario, California, and I see clients online throughout California, Colorado, and Texas. I work with adults who feel worn down by anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship stress, and the pressure to be “the strong one” for everyone else. Many of the people I support are BIPOC professionals, caregivers, and neurodivergent adults who look “fine” on the outside, but inside feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves.

Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It’s a calm, grounded space to breathe, slow down, and hear yourself again. Together, we explore how stress, trauma, identity-related pressure, and old survival stories are showing up in your body, your relationships, and your daily life. We move at a pace that respects your nervous system and make room for all of it—grief, anger, numbness, hope, and rest.

I pay close attention to how race, culture, faith, family roles, and lived experience shape what you’re carrying. I specialize in supporting people who have spent years taking care of everyone else, pushing through, and holding so much in. In our work, you don’t have to perform, explain away your pain, or be “on.” You get to be a full person, not just a role.

I integrate EMDR, Internal Family Systems (parts work), Brainspotting, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, CBT, and relational work. We may look at how long-standing patterns—people-pleasing, conflict avoidance, over-functioning, choosing emotionally unavailable partners, or feeling unseen in relationships—have been shaped by your history and survival strategies. For those who desire it, I can thoughtfully incorporate Christian faith and spirituality into the work.

Whether you’re dealing with burnout, healing from relational, generational, or racial trauma, feeling stuck in painful relationship patterns, or navigating life transitions and neurodivergence, you don’t have to do it alone. This is a place to honor your story, reconnect with the parts of you that were never broken—only buried—and begin again on your own terms.
