Hi my name is Joy and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, Washington State, and Wisconsin. I earned a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s degree from Texas Tech Health and Science Center. I have worked with adolescents, teens and adults in a variety of settings, including school districts, private practice, crisis services, IOP eating disorder facilities and outpatient clinics. I am also an EMDR therapist. As a therapist my approach is to ensure you have a safe space to process life's challenges and offer validation. I customize the therapy approach based on the individual needs of my clients. I tend to use person centered therapy where we focus on your strengths and work together to understand whatever presenting struggles clients have.
